Zululand Anthracite Colliery

Zululand Anthracite Colliery (ZAC) is the sole producer of prime anthracite in South Africa.  ZAC is located in Emakhalathini, about 100km from Richards Bay in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. ZAC is a ‘One Stop Shop’ for anthracite which has all the facilities to size and blend products according to market needs. ZAC’s location, being close to Richards Bay, positions it well for both exports and to serve the local South African markets. ZAC joined the Menar Group in 2016.

Canyon Coal

Canyon Coal, is a coal exploration, mining and processing company. It operates collieries and processing plants in the Mpumalanga and Gauteng provinces of South Africa. Canyon is also involved in various exploration projects in various parts of the country. Canyon Coal prides itself on the fact that it is positively contributing to the development and transformation of South African society. Menar established Canyon Coal in 2008.

Kangra

Kangra is a coal mining and processing operation located in the town of Saul Mkhizeville, in the Mpumalanga province. Kangra comprises an underground mine and opencast operations. Kangra’s consistent quality and secure production makes it a sought-after supplier to key markets. Kangra’s location, being close to Richards Bay, positions it well for both exports and to serve the local South African markets. Kangra joined the Menar Group in 2018.

Sitatunga Resources

Sitatunga Resources is an exploration and project development mining company. The company’s East Manganese mine is located in the manganese-rich Kalahari basin of the Northern Cape province of South Africa, which hosts 80% of the world's manganese ore bodies. The development of East Manganese forms part of the Menar Group’s strategy of building a manganese portfolio in the Northern Cape and diversification of the Group mineral portfolio. Sitatunga was established by Menar in 2017.

Northern 3

Northern3 is a gold mining and exploration company carrying out exploration of the Saray-Say and Terek-Say gold projects, in Ala-Buka in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Saray Gold Project is situated along the Tien Shan Gold Belt, which is the second-largest Gold Province in the world after Witwatersrand Basin, in South Africa. Large known gold deposits located in the Tien Gold Belt include the 178-million-ounce Muruntau, 93-million-ounce Almalyk, and the 17-million-ounce gold deposits.  Northern3 joined the Menar Group in 2019.

Caldag Nickel

Çaldağ Nikel is located in Turgutlu town of Manisa city, which is the largest nickel reserve in Turkey with a JORC proven reserve of 29.7 million tonnes. Since the year 2004, approximately $140 million USD has been spent including the research and development studies on the project.
