Sustainability

Continuous improvement of the assets in which we have invested and their operational performance, including sustainability, is a core element of our approach to business. Being sensitive in all matters relating to health and safety, human rights, community and employee relations, and the environment are indispensable elements of our code of business ethics.

Health and Safety

We aim to ensure that our investments become the benchmark for safety standards and to create a workplace that is free from fatalities, injuries, or occupational diseases. We aspire to achieve the goal of Zero Harm, which aims to ensure that all workers return home to their loved ones from work safe, unharmed and healthy every day.

Human Rights

We respect the human rights of our people, host communities, and partners in everything we do. Our goal is to champion human rights and uphold international standards within the Group and throughout our value chain.

Community

Our aim is to achieve sustainable growth wherever we invest in operating. This is central to our values and essential for our license to operate. We contribute to society throughout our value chain, via employment, procurement, enterprise development, infrastructure development, and social investment programmes.

Employees

Our people are our partners and they are fundamental to our success and growth. We treat all our people fairly, uphold their rights and reward them competitively, in line with their contribution to our success.

Environment

We are committed to minimising our potential impact, whether directly or indirectly, on the environment. We not only seek to comply with but exceed the environmental standards that have been set out in countries in which we have investments. It is for these reasons that we focus on energy savings, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions savings, water-saving, as well as a year-on-year reduction of environmental incidents.
