GCC ENGINEER
Menar Mining Services would like to employ a GCC Engineer at the Gugulethu Colliery in Mpumalanga.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Manage, plan and coordinate all activities of the maintenance and engineering department in conjunction with relevant departments and functions.
Ensure compliance with company H&S policies and procedures.
Ensure the mine adheres to the various DMRE guidelines.
Assures that design of new and redesign and or modification of existing machines, equipment and manufacturing procedures are being performance satisfactorily.
Recommends replacements of existing equipment and provide long-range facility planning assistance.
Provide technical training and technical direction to support personnel and supervisors within the plant.
Conduct managerial responsibilities concerning the hiring, training, counselling and discipline, performance appraisal, and assigning/prioritizing all work for subordinates.
Liaise with contractors to ensure safe and high-quality work at low cost.
Oversee the purchasing of maintenance related items to ensure the correct stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
Project management and planning.
Managing budgets and controlling costs.
Support and oversee Learnership programs.
JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
GCC Mines and Works (non-negotiable)
Bsc Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
3 - 5 years operational experience
Open cast mining experience (essential)
Preference will be provided to candidates from the designated groups as defined in the Employment Equity Act.
